White tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant . White tea requires minimal processing due to which it contains more antioxidants . The leaves and buds of the Camellia sinensis plant should be young in order to make white tea. The leaves and buds are plucked just before they are opened, all covered in white hairs. This gives white tea its name.

After the leaves and buds are plucked, they are withered for up to 72 hours. After they are withered, they are dried to prevent oxidation. This helps keep intact the nutrients and natural colour of the tea.

4. Tribute Eyebrow (Gong Mei)- This tea variety is ranked as the third highest grade of white tea. Tribute eyebrow tea has a strong, fruity flavour.
